Jawad Sohrab Malik, the Special Assistant to the Prime Minister on Overseas Pakistanis and Human Resource Development (OP&HRD), called upon Palestinian Ambassador Ahmed Rabaie in Islamabad and condemned the Israeli atrocities against innocent people in Gaza.

SAPM Malik strongly condemned the deliberate targeting of civilian infrastructure, medical services, educational institutions, and refugee camps by Israeli occupation forces, according to an official statement issued on Thursday.

He further stated that given the sheer number of people around 2.2 million and the indefinite longevity, 75 years and counting, Gaza is the mother of all concentration camps.

Genocide, ethnic cleansing, crimes against peace and humanitarian laws are being committed by Israel with utter impunity and no fear of repercussions.

He emphasised that the international community, especially the Islamic World, must play an active role in ensuring an immediate ceasefire and opening a humanitarian corridor for uninterrupted relief supplies to besieged innocent civilians of Gaza.

While addressing the Palestinian ambassador, the SAPM reaffirmed Pakistan’s solidarity at this critical moment of a second Nakba against his nation and assured the country’s unequivocal support for Palestinians’ right to self-determination.

Palestinian Ambassador Ahmad Rabaie extended his gratitude for the unwavering solidarity and support that the government and people of Pakistan have consistently shown to the people of Palestine.
